"Making our world safer...together"
As you move about, you're alerted to any dangerous situation in your present location. Move to another area? Guardian moves with you!
Every post and comment is monitored for community value and content integrity.
Get an alert and need more details or want to comment? Chat directly with others at the same location as you are without knowing their phone number or email. Guardian allows us all to be one, in the same location.
Traveling and don't know if you are in a safe location? Just open the app and see a history of everything that has gone on in the past.
As you move around, Guardian moves with you. As a default, it draws a 1,000 foot circle around you, which can be expanded to 5,000 feet. If any alert of danger is posted in the area you currently encompass, you are automatically notified. Conversely, if you post an alert, it is only reaches those who are within your location. As long as you stay in the area of the alert, you can chat with others, ask questions or post related pictures.
It's sad, but the world we live in is not getting any safer. When danger does present itself, it is not the time to be heading to the app store!
At the time of need, the more you know, the greater the chance of a safe outcome.
The more people using Guardian, the safer the world is around us!
On September 30, 2017 at 10PM at night, Guardian’s would-be founder sat with his wife outside the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. Sitting between the hotel, Las Vegas Blvd and the concert venue, little did they realize they were also sitting directly in the line of fire and underneath the window of which in 24 hours later, would become the site the largest mass shootings in United States history.
Returning home, safely only to learn what ultimately transpired just hours after their leaving, the first concept of Guardian started to come together. They sought to build a platform where people who did not necessarily know each other but were in the same location, could communicate.
Sixty-five days later, the need for a tool like Guardian would happen again. This time, late on a Monday night, the couple awoke to a text from their local authorities telling them to evacuate due to a fast-moving brush fire. This would become the Thomas Fire and grew to be the largest fire in California history, destroying over 700 homes.
That night, 250,000 people were without power. With the exception of your cell phone, access to any information about how fast the fire was moving was spotty. There was no way to speak directly with others who were in the same situation.
Guardian was born.
